The hotel offers exceptionally comfortable beds and climate control, flat-screen television, and a safe box. Its very central location is just a 5 minutes' walk to the metro. Additionally, it's a super close walk to an 18th-century Baroque palace.

The location of the hotel is very good if you go shopping and walking, since you have when leaving the hotel all the wooden street with the fashion shops, they have established almost all the shops that are in other squares, a curious shop of Korean, Chinese and Japanese export items. All along the street there are fast food and coffee shops with full meals. It's very crowded, so take care of your little ones and bags. The taxi service connected to the hotel is very good and cheaper than in other hotels.
If you have a lot of luggage, you have to walk a few meters to get to the hotel because the taxi leaves you in nearby streets, since there is no traffic on Madero. And you must consider that there are enough people walking because it is in the heart of the shops. At the exit there is no problem because the hotel bellboys take your luggage to the taxi if you ask for it at the hotel.

Location is the best. It is between the Zócalo and Palacio de Bellas Artes, surrounded by restaurants, convenience stores and prestigious shops. Friendly staff, polite and willing to help solve any problem. rooms and beds are comfortable.
The bathroom doors are glass and cannot be locked. Because of this, they have little privacy. Anyone can enter since they cannot know if someone is using it. If they put a simple pin or door lock on it, this problem would be avoided. There is a lot of noise in this area at night on weekends. This can be a problem if your room is next to the street. These rooms should be isolated from noise. The room did not have air conditioning...although it was not necessary because during our stay the weather was cold.

The room was newly renovated with a lovely shower and very comfortable beds. The location was magnificent and incredible, with Plaza Garibaldi within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Excellent location as we needed it since it is close to both the zocalo and fine arts and they kept our luggage for as long as we needed.
Lousy customer service: the lady at the reception desk, a thin young woman with straight hair, agreed to talk to me as soon as a clean room was available, since it was 3 pm and they still didn't deliver them according to what she said. She didn't talk to me, so my brother had to go and ask (they were annoyed that I was going to insist, but I was the one who made the reservation), and that's how they gave us the room as 3:20 pm and for our bad luck when we entered the room to pretend to rest it was totally DIRTY with garbage and cans of the previous guests had not done the cleaning and much less change the sheets of the previous ones. I was really disappointed because I struggled a lot to get a room in this way because it was all saturated and if it is in a good location but what good is it if they treated us as if we had asked for the room as a gift. Immediately we went to the reception and there was a Mr. in sack along with the lady who commented we imagined that it was the manager told us that he had already commented to the maid and that soon he would go to what was a lie it was until 4:30 pm and finished 5 pm, at the moment of going she told us that as soon as they had warned him (her name is elia by the way she was the only kind one along with the buttons) I would have loved to take a picture of the room so that they could see as they gave it to us. We were 3 people and 1 stayed in the room from 3:20 to 4:45 because if we couldn't rest, we went to buy some food at the center and when we arrived the maid had little if any.

How close it was to the center of the city.
Too many dogs barking when we were on the 2nd floor. It was too hot and no air. Only 2 towels even though there four people in the room.

Great staff.
They are having some sort of war with the neighbor. He has three large dogs caged up on the 7th floor roof that are seemingly only there for the purpose of barking most of the day and night. It is obvious they are starved or mistreated so they continually bark loudly. They are placed right over the light and air shaft that most of the rooms have windows onto. Since it is an older hotel without AC you must open the windows to breathe which makes it even worse. i spoke to the management and they have been trying to stop it for a long time with no success. Mexico has no noise laws or animal protection laws.I suggest you stay at one of the more modern hotels near the Reforma if you want the sort of comfort you expect in a good hotel.

Very accommodating staff! Quiet, restful. Not "Ritzy," so to speak, but neither was it "pricey!" It was great to walk out of the hotel onto a pedestrian walkway, rather than city streets with traffic. Affordable eating places were nearby, the heart of the city only a stroll away. Well lit, well patrolled walkway--you can walk to Bellas Artes for a performance, view the view from the Latin Tower, or have an early evening at Plaza Garibaldi.
Bathrooms do not have fans...the rooms do have fans, not sure that they will cool sufficiently when it is warmer.
